Lesson 1: Creating a Simple Query

In this lesson we will introduce you to the basics of selecting data that you want to work with in Access. We will start by learning how to filter and sort the data in a data table. This will allow you to quickly view or locate information that you need. The filters are a temporary change to how the data displays.

Lesson 4: Advanced Queries

Many of the queries in this lesson allow you to summarize your data. The crosstab queries, aggregate and total queries provide you a quick way of summarizing data. While you may prefer to do this kind of summarization with a report or with other tools, it is nice to know what Access can do.
