This course will instruct you how to create images for web pages. You will learn how to work with Bitmap images, how to effectively use Vector drawing tools, how to create buttons, and how to optimize images for your web page. You will need a copy of Fireworks. A 30-day trial is available.

| 1 | Lesson 1: Getting StartedFireworks is a tool for creating graphics and has the ability to work with both vector and bitmap images. It does replicate some of the features found in Photoshop and Illustrator, but Fireworks is set up specifically to work with graphics that will be used on web sites. In this lesson we will begin to work Fireworks and get comfortable with the interface and some of the basic tools. We will explore the workflow process using pages, layers and states. |
