Tracing your Civil War Ancestors

Does your genealogy research include Civil War Ancestors? Trace an ancestor who served in the Civil War through a large variety of sources of material. Civil War records were kept in greater detail than previous wars. Confederate Soldiers groups kept much better records of the veterans after the war than the Union groups. In this class you will learn to assemble as much information about the veteran as you can from County Histories, family records and recollections of the older members of the family. Which Company formed in your ancestor's area, and how did they spent their days?
